NASA's Futuristic Hybrid flyer X-48C

NASA! NASA! NASA, its been all around internet for last 2 or 3 days because of highly anticipated Red Planet landing, but now its over.  NASA continues its way without any further delay.  Now they are on news because of their next installment of plane in X-48.  Already they launched to of this kind X-48A, X-48B.  But this one comes with all new hybrid and Futuristic technologies.

NASA experimented its X-48C hybrid wing-body plane for fist time yesterday.  It is an remotley powered prototype that's housed at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave Desert California.

What's New in it?
NASA says that its an unique kind of futuristic mobile vehicle with a great efficiency and long-haul aviation. Its wing part is more special to this plane.  Its an hybrid design between flying-wing design and a conventional plane.

X-48C  to offer users a long-term fuel efficiency, more noise reduction and fuel capacity than its predecessors.  X-48C's engine is moved forward and makes it to produce much lesser noise.

Where it can be used?
No, one yet know how these X-48 series to be used.  But the common ideas are it can play part of as a Bomber, a command-and-control center, a transport vehicle even more.

Test's that undergone?
It has been flied for just 9 minutes yesterday, but the team hopes to fly this version about 20 times.
X-48C has a top altitude of 10,000 feet and can fly for 35 minutes,  but yesterday it reached an altitude of only 5,500 feet in 9 minutes flying time.
They again to conduct analysis and put this plane for fly in air to check its performance on Thursday.

What's in future?
X-48c is expected to increase the altitude of flying from 10,000 to 11,000 feet and feature a 240-foot wingspan and a range of 11,000 nautical miles
